This rather dreadful effort to make the Monkees appealing to the psychodelic 60's crowd appeared on Antennae TV this morning. The film is mostly unwatchable unless the viewer is predisposed to viewing it under the influence of powerful mind-altering substances; not exactly my thing. In effect, it is about 90 minutes of bad Monkees music videos set to some of their more obscure (and not particularly good) music. As if a strange drug inspired movie featuring the Monkees isn't bizzare enough in itself, here is the real kicker: One of the two writing credits for the film goes to (drum roll) Jack Nicholson! Yes folks, that Jack Nicholson. He even makes a couple of brief appearances in the film wearing a hideous, orange colored, very 60's style shirt that we can only hope he ended up burning....possibly he smoked it.

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: For the curious, here's a LINK to the IMDb page for this title...
