And you need to know just because your favorite actor is in the movie, that doesn't mean that by default it will be a great movie. "Shutter Island" and "Inception" aren't great movies just because Dicaprio is in them. They are great because they have great writers/directors behind the camera so ALL aspects of filmmaking are good. You could have Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Al Pacino, and Tom Hanks all in a movie together, but if the movie is directed by Uwe Boll, it will suck no matter who stars in it because the man behind the scenes has no talent. Now, I'm not one to jump the gun and declare "Expendables" the shoe-in for Worst Picture, but if it gets single digit scores at RT and bombs at the box office, it's going to be in serious trouble with Razzie voters.

I know you love Stallone and all, but there is no way this movie is going anywhere near the Oscars. Spike TV's Scream Awards, sure, Saturn Awards, maybe, but not the Oscars. And yes, in the eyes of Oscar voters, action movies are stupid. But, if you do go see this movie and see some kind of higher meaning behind it other than gun fights, fist fights, and stuff being blown up, more power to you.

No, you have to keep going, because I don't think we are convinced. I mean, come on, there's a deeper meaning to "Cobra"?! Even Stallone himself said he regrets making that movie. The very first "Rocky" and "Rambo" movies I'll give you credit for, however after those movies, every sequel just went into a downward spiral.
