It's over 10 years later, you can't get Jim Carrey and you've got no reason to make this, so...why even bother??

BooBerry -- Never fear, not only will SON OF THE MASK be listed ALL OVER your 2005 RAZZIE® Nominating Ballot, it will also be the second feature at our October Member Event, and is currently "winning" by a landslide in our informal Forum Poll for Worst Picture... |

I have a theory that Alan Cumming is deliberatly trying to kill his movie career. He's a Tony nominee (Not sure if he won), he has talent, but some of the choices he's made are completely ass-trocious! JOSIE and the PUSSYCATS, SPICE WORLD, SON of the MASK, THE FLINTSTONES prequel, etc. He was actually good in X2, but turned down the chance to reprise it. Man's a masochist! Tim Curry only made one major mistake in his career CONGO. There's an actor who can make almost any bad movie better. He's an Emmy nominee for Tales from the Crypt, for God's sake! |

FYI: I just checked the "Official Fan Site" for Alan Cumming, and it claims he not only won a Tony, but also a Drama Desk and several other Broadway awards (for playing the same character that won Joel Grey both a Tony AND an Oscar®) in the 1998 revival of CABARET LINK for Cumming's IMdB Page: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001086/ As for Tim Curry, I'm not sure I agree with your take on him. He WAS a Worst Supporting Actor nominee for CONGO, but has also been featured as Wildly Over-the-Top Bad Gize in such duds and disappointemtns as CHARLIE'S ANGELS, McHALE'S NAVY, THE SHADOW and Sylvester Stallone's Painfully UNfunny "Comedy," OSCAR. I don't see how his presence made any of these films any less miserable to sit through. BTW: In addition to being a three-time Tony nominee (but not yet a winner) Curry also voices just about EVERY villain on Saturday morning cartoons these daze... LINK for Curry's IMdB Page: |

Ok, but he was great in ROCKY HORROR, LEGEND, and I really enjoyed him in the miniseries Stephen King's IT. |

Sorry for Beating a Dead Horse
but I just watched ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW for the first time in years. Razz, can you deny the awesomeness of Tim Curry in that? I think Not!

Yes, Tim Curry DID achieve "awesomeness" in ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW and IS now garnering great reviews for MONTY PYTHON'S SPAMALOT on Broadway... Point taken!

And the truth shall set you Free! Actually Razz, we've all talked about actors we all like, just curious, who are your top five favorite actors? Although I do believe that De Niro, Pacino, and Nicholson are the best, I'm gonna exclude them for being too obvious. Here's mine ( In no particular order): 1. Brian Cox ( Probably my idol, great villan actor, gives strong support in everything I've seen him in) 2. Daniel Day-Lewis 3. Gary Oldman ( Why did he have to make the Scarlett Letter?!) 4. Ralph Fiennes (Why did he do The Avengers?! 5. Brad Dourif ( Should have never been in The Color of the Night) (Honorable mention goes to Ian Mcshane from Deadwood, Geoffrey Rush, and Kevin Spacey)

Son of the Mask is a kids movie and from what I've seen kids
like it. I have a problem teeing off on an imaginative movie that kids can watch a million times and still get a kick out of. If Son of the Mask is on this list, why isn't Shark Boy, Win Dixie and Robots on it? Those movies were worse. Sounds like everyone's just bitter that Jim Carrey wasn't in this movie. I don't really care. Alone in the Dark, Dirty Love, Deuce Bigalow - those are true contenders. |
