1) Bay still has creative control over what appears in his movies (like how people act like stereotypes), and stereotypes have appeared in ALL of his movies.

2) Well now, if a stereotype becomes universally accepted, it's not a stereotypes any more. Then it's a fact.

1) You do realize Michael Bay doesn't write his movies?
2) Whether a stereotype is true or not, it's still a stereotype.

He has used stereotypes of blacks, Asians, gays, and everything in between. Stuff like that was funny back in the 1930s, but nowadays, it's just insulting.

As for my stereotypes about the rude movie-watching habits of teenagers...hey, when it happens every ... single ... time ... I go to the movies, it's NOT a stereotype.

I did in the end, but my point at the beginning still stands -- that any scene in a movie that lasts longer than it takes to blink is considered "boring" by the standards of today's youth. "Shining" was long because it was building characters, backstory, and tension, so that when Jack finally does go insane, you gave a damn about what happens to the characters, and you are fearful about what happens next. I would figure someone who praised "Paranormal Activity" would understand that. However, nowadays, horror movies are just "hire a bunch of models, have them run away scared while half naked and then killed them off in either overly violent or unrealistic ways".

Did you realize, with the post below, you completely changed the subject?

Not so much the length of the movie, I'm talking about the pacing. If it's not shot like a music video, with the cuts lasting only 3 seconds, you lose interest. You love bringing up "Clockwork Orange" when debeating horror movies. The reason why "CO" is vastly superior than any slasher or torture porn movie is because of it's slow pacing, and long cuts, and what is NOT shown on-screen. Plus, it got its point across about violence in society with only a handful of blood, rather than using buckets worth of the stuff. Slashers and torture porn aren't about social commentary, they are just "how much can we get away with before the MPAA gives us an NC-17 rating?".

If you wanna be that guy, that's fine. But then don't go around complaining of Bay using black stereotypes. At least he does it for comic relief, while you tend to be close-minded about the subject.

Well in that case, thrillers are vastly superior to horror. As for sterotypes, when it comes to movie watching, they are true. I refuse to go to midnight showings of movies ever again, because they are ALWAYS full of annoying teenagers who talk out aloud to each other and on their cell phones like they are in their living rooms. I bash an entire generation because they make it so easy to do so!

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE is a thriller, not a horror movie.

B.H.B.,the only reason we allow your bashings about Hollywood and Michael Bay is because you tend to be right. But you don't have to bash an entire generation. Can't you see you have become the man you hate? Always with the lame stereotypes!

Now that's quite a broad assumption, don't you think so, basing that said assumption on one film? This comment makes you sound like an ass. For example, I sat through the entire 3 hours of Casino and I loved it.

We watched H.O.W., isn't that giving it a fair chance? You like to think Razzies voters prejudge the movies before they even come out, but we DO see them before we vote so we can really judge who is the worst of the worst.

I'm just stating that you guys never gave it a fair chance because Paris Hilton was in it, which is pretty obvious the case. There's a difference between trying to not like a movie when watching it and giving a film a fair chance.

Seriously, no movie in the past 30 years can top the truly slow-burning, nerve-racking, horror and thriller classics of old like "The Shining". Even if it was looked down upon at the time of it's release, it is a masterpiece compared to the three decades of s*** that the slasher subgenre has created.

At least if MWG would cite his sources, we would be able to learn if they are just as brain dead as to what is a good movie as he is.
