Well me personally I can care less what religion he's in. However, the source material was a big factor in it. The book it's based on is not very popular. Besides that, the film is poorly written and the acting is strangely off considering the "talent" that's in it. Then again, it's hard to shine with sloppy direction and a terribly written script.

The Big winner this year was obviously "Battlefield Earth". I believe it was on the Top 25 biggest box office flops on TV Guide Network. The film looked like not only the longest and loudest Scientology commercial, but a passion project conceived by John Travolta. I am not judging the guy based on his choice of religion or anything like that. But seriously did he really think other people besides him would like this film? At this point, I think John Travolta doesn't care about who liked this movie or who didn't like this movie. He got fulfill his dreams while saying "I did what I wanted to do, screw you"!

I've decided to consolidate my complaints and pattern observations into something I'm hoping is a little more concise.
 
Films that should've been RAZZed, but weren't: 2
Highlander: Endgame
Dungeons and Dragons
 
Films that got RAZZed, but shouldn't have: 2
Mission: Impossible II
How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
 
Films that were RAZZed to the wrong degree: 1
Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (Not RAZZed enough)
 
Worst Trends/Events of 2000:
V. They were otherwise benign, but Thandie and Ron Howard ruined it all (Mission Impossible II and How the Grinch Stole Christmas)
IV. Dungeons and Dragons does Clue one worse in board game films
III. Lousy spacefaring thrillers (Supernova, Battlefield Earth)
II. Flames are doused for the Saturday Night Fever after a cursed lottery and an epic Scientology failure (Lucky Numbers and Battlefield Earth)
I. A steep plunge in the quality of cinema since 1999 changed movies

I just saw LITTLE NICKY.It was funny when the actors didn't say anything.The events were funny and the jokes weren't.There are some decent performances,but as an Adam Sandler movie we all expect him to be the best,and he's the worst.The character too.I mean the concept of a guy talking like that already sounds boring,and he just makes it worst.As for Patricia Arquette...nothing worth mentioning.She's the only nomination the movie didn't deserve.I give it **.

Do you want my lists of the worst films of each year since 2000? They're also under my notes on Facebook, but I'll have some trouble finding lists of all films from each of those years.
