What can be said, the more money you have on your budget, the better the CGI looks. Cameron has the bigger budget, so his movies look great, and s*** like this doesn't.

In retrospect, this movie was merely average. Not among the worst of the worst. I concur, however, that Rodriguez shouldn't make movies for children. His adult-oriented movies were much better.

Yeah, but you can see Salma naked ten times more in "Frida".

I don't know, but when I think Robert Rodriguez, I think "Sin City", "Once Upon A Time In Mexico", "Planet Terror" and "From Dusk 'Til Dawn". In other words, all these hardcore R-rated action movies. The "Spy Kids" series doesn't even enter my mind.

... If you're into movies intended for kids maybe. I'm too old to get into Spy Kids, and I don't have kids of my own to make me feel the need to force myself to see the films.

Okay, then. That's more like it...

OK, I exaggerated. The first two Spy Kids were good. I didn't like #3 though...

The only positive I can spin out of Spy Kids is that they led to Alexa Vega eventually making Repo!, and that's something that only I'm going to like anyway.

Take note that the "great movies" statement comes from someone with the worst track record of bad taste in movies on this forum. I mean, he thought "White Chicks" was laugh out loud funny, and thinks "Knowing" and "Orphan" are the two greatest movies of this year, just because they have M. Night type themes...

Uh, no, moviewizeguy, the Spy Kids movies were mediocre at best, and each one became worse than the last as the series went on.

As for R-Rod's fixation with children, well, when you're the father of five or six kids, I guess you need to make some movies to appeal them, too.

Are you sure about this as Worst of the Weak -- because, even though all the reviews aren't in, this movie is actually getting good reviews. The one getting the bad reviews this week is "Post Grad."
