Time for the penultimate entry in ABMMW, Jennifer's Body.
The good: Amanda Seyfried: Seyfried is a decent actress and she does the best with her role here. Karyn Kusama: There's a lot of greatly directed scenes in the movie. In particular, the scene where Jennifer is swimming in the water. You don't notice that she's there for a few seconds. The music: The scene with Jennifer in the lake is helped by the throbbing metal music in the background. The bad: Megan Fox: Fox is a seriously bad actress. I could go into details, but you guys all know how bad of an actress is. Half the lines: Half of the lines are unbearably pretentious. In particular, "move on dot org." Diablo Cody needs a beating for that line. The other half of the lines fall under awesomely bad. The awesomely bad: The other half of the lines: The lines that didn't piss me off too much were bad in the same way as Plan 9 is. The gore: Watching Megan Fox eating people was more amusing than it should have been. The kiss: The kiss is shamelessly done to try to get teen boys to come. That being said, it's still a hot scene. A few monthes ago, I was discussing this movie's B.O. failure with some classmates. The reason I gave for the film's flopitude was that it banked solely on the hotness of Megan Fox and that teenagers that wanted to ogle Fox would just look on the internet. Not helping matters, nude shoots of Fox on the set appeared on the internet and the MPAA rating listed that there was no nudity. Grade: C+ Next-up: 2012!

I just saw it,and gave it 4/10...or for Burn...I gave it ** or a D. I'm the complete oposite of a macho man,but I think I should be one sometimes.So I'll say the lesbian kiss was worth it! The movie was scary,but not enough.And it wasn't very funny.I blame completely on Karyn Kusama.Diablo Cody's scripts are very particular and require a good director too balance the dark and the humour.The movie deserved a nomination for "Worst Director",although Michael Bay still deserved to win.Also,this suffered from a "LORD OF THE RINGS effect":It had 3 endings in a row! Megan Fox was average to bad in this movie,but so was Amanda Seyfried.I doubt they were uninspired,because that means they thought the movie would be at it's best a bad-reviewed box-office hit.It's reviews were mixed to bad,and the movie was only a hit internationally.Anyway,Megan's acting levels in this movie weren't bad enough to nominate her,but she had the same problem in LA VENGANZA DE LOS CAIDOS,so maybe she kind of deserved a nomination,but not to win.I know she didn't actually win,but that's because Sandra Bullock said she'll show up and because she was going to win the Oscar.
That wasn't prom,just a dance.I know you think it doesn't matter,but I'm making sure you saw the movie. |

Well mind you, Megan Fox made the biggest mistake in all of Hollywood ... she bit the hand that fed her. She called Michael Bay a hack (well, because he IS) and that "Bayformers 2" sucked (well, because it DID), and as a result, the media turned against her and said what pretty much everyone was already thinking: she sucks as an actress and is only good for softcore porn.

I gotta agree with Vits on this one. There was really only one thing that the marketing campaign gave me that would've made me wanna see it. And after the fact, hearing that it had that Diablo Cody kinda dialogue, I was a little interested in that, but all that the ads on TV gave us were Megan Fox being sexy.

Oh no, the mistake they made was casting Megan Fox. When a movie casts her as their lead actress, you KNOW it's not going to be a quality movie, just softcore porn at best. |

Desperate? More like a perfect example that his filmmaking skills are as shallow and superficial as can be and he couldn't care less about quality filmmaking when he does care about is filming poorly rendered CGI, an overdose of explosions, and would-be porn stars like Fox. |
