Maybe we should wait until there's more reviews (they'll keep coming, despite the consensus) and see what critics think about Rodgriguez' performance, and the acting in general (not much, I'm guessing).

Is it still possible to consider Michelle Roudriguez for Worst Supporting Actress for Fast & Furious 6? Remember, she was also in InAPPropriate Comedy this year.

Elizabeth Hartman and Judith Barsi are much more talented and beautiful than Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Grace Moretz. Fact.

There's already a concensus on FAST & FURIOUS 6: it's as good as the previous one. And since I doubt that BEFORE MIDNIGHT gets bad reviews, THE HANGOVER PART III was definately the best choice.

Is it just me, or does it seem like these days, Friedberg and Seltzer are all bark and no bite? They now say they're making a Fast & Furious spoof -- but they were also supposed to make that Avatar spoof, which just vanished...and that Hunger Games spoof, which is, as far as I know, completed, but does not have a release date. I've also heard they're trying to make spoofs of things like Hangover, Bridesmaids, and Project X!

Anyways, the proof:  LINK

Vits: You guys have Epic already? Hmm.... See that, I guess.

Also, new trailer for Pacific Rim:

A CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON sequel has been greenlit. This... could actually work. Michelle Yeoh is returning, so I'm guessing this one will tell a different story with a similar format and (hopefully) the same kind of kick-ass action scenes.

New releases here: BROKEN CITY and SIDE EFFECTS (both with Catherine Zeta-Jones). Oh, and also EPIC. What should I do?

Nursing home rumble, eh? I'm afraid they're a bit behind. Weird All Yankovic did a "Theme From Rocky 13" (aka "Rye or the Kaiser") back in 1984. It was a parody of "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor.

PS: In the poster, Sly's Depends look like a porcelain body cast for broken bones.

FUN UPDATE from Head RAZZberry: Not that's it's ever actually going to be made, but I couldn't resist sharing a mock poster for ROCKY 7, which I came across on the Internet today...

Do you think maybe BEHIND THE CANDELABRA is not playing in theaters because the people behind it know that if it did, it would be trashed by critics...and razzed by us?

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: Here's a LINK to read an extensive cover article from last Sunday'sL.A. Times CALENDAR section discussing how & why CANDELABRA ended up on HBO instead of in theatres (basically, it's that most major studio execs were chickensh*ts when it came to depicting the physical elements of Liberace's relationship with his "chauffeur"). My instincts tell me it could get HUGE ratings when it airs Memorial Day weekend, and that it probably would have done well in theatrical release...

UPDATE from Head RAZZberry: Here's the first trailer for what's got to be the most star-studded cable movie ever: HBO's BEHIND THE CANDELABRA, starring Michael Douglas as Liberace, Matt Damon as his male lover, plus Rob Lowe, Dan Aykroyd and Debbie Reynolds in supporting roles. Looking like a cross between SHOWGIRLS and BOYS IN THE BAND, it "coulda been a contenduh" -- if it had played in theatres, as originally intended...

Just got back from Star Trek Into Darkness. If not for some shaky-cam, I would have given it an A+.

It'll have to settle for an "A" and being rated as my Best Film of the Year -- so far.

The problem with the Wild Bunch remake being about "aging cops" is that we still need cops. The original Wild Bunch took place at a time when cowboys were facing irrelevancy. The West was tamed, the temperance movement was gaining steam, the Indian Wars were over, and the frontier was closing. Cowboys weren't needed (or wanted) anymore.
