Nicholas Sparks: What kind of crack have you been smoking that makes you think this is about a "true relationship"? I mean, you keep cranking out novels that are obviously only good for wiping our butts on, because they all have the same clichéd, awful characters (yet somehow you've managed to rope people into making movies out of them).
In this one, up-and-coming Julianne Hough plays a woman who is being tracked for… some reason(?) who has to go to another state, and winds up hiding with some man (played by Josh Duhamel, who just recently humiliated himself along with others by being in Movie 43). Lasse Hallstrom, who did an earlier Nicholas Sparks movie (with little success -- Dear John), also directed this movie. Hopefully, this will be the last of these pieces of doo-doo that keep on getting cranked out... Maybe RAZZing this can help to stop them?!? |

Elizabeth Hartman and Judith Barsi are much more talented and beautiful than Scarlett Johansson and Chloe Grace Moretz. Fact. |

SPOILER: There's a ghost in the movie, played by Cobie Smulders.... Wow -- way to make it even more stupid there, Sparky!

The R.T. consensus reads "Schmaltzy, predictable, and melodramatic. It also suffers from a ludicrous plot twist toward the end, making for a particularly ignominious Nicholas Sparks adaptation." |

Below is what I said in the general forum: Here's my recommendations for Razzie nominations: Worst Picture. It's totally predictable from the beginning. Even the "twist" is easy to figure out (so easy you might think M. Night Shyamalan wrote it!). Worst Actor: Josh Duhamel. His acting is very bland. All the times he is supposed to be emotional there is very little emotion, if any, shown. Josh Duhamel has the emotional range of a wall (maybe he is related to Kristen Stewart?). Worst Actress: Julianne Hough. Just like Duhamel her "acting" is bland and near-emotionless. Worst Director: Lasse Hallstrom. This director has not done anything to prevent the movie from being boring. Hallstrom has constructed a flick so tiresomely boring it could cure insomnia! Worst Screenplay: Leslie Bohem & Dana Stevens. They deserve a nomination for writing dull scene after dull scene, all featuring dull dialogue... Worst Screen Couple: Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel. When their boring performances are combined, they make an unsatisfactory screen couple. Worst Screen Ensemble: The entire cast is uninteresting. |

Directed by Michael Bay and M. Night Shyamalan comes a movie guaranteed to win Razzies.

Whoops! My bad. I didn't know the rating fell to 12%. It's risen to 13%.
Although I seriously doubt this is the beginning of a recovery.
