To oiram: Yeah. I personally won't be nominating anyone stand-alone for Movie 43 unless one of them also stars/starred in another film that deserves a nod. But I rarely, if ever, take the fallen-angel factor into consideration.

To Vheid: I didn't list Broken City, Parker, The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia, Safe Haven, Escape From Planet Earth, Dark Skies, Dead Man Down, The Call, The Lords of Salem, or Tyler Perry Presents Peeples either.

As for Only God Forgives, it doesn't have that cheesy style that RAZZIE classics are known for, it's much lesser-known than others, and it played in many a film festival. If it's a wide release, then perhaps it'll gain some infamy next month or so.
Possible Unofficial Forums, given <35% approval: Spt. 12: Dolphin Tale 2, Search Party. Spt. 19: The Maze Runner.

To be honest I had forgotten that most of those movies even existed...

Only God Forgives also is the second pair-up of director Nicholas Winding Refn and actor Ryan Gosling (in the same type of role) so to many feels like an indirect sequel to Drive (or at least a follow-up to it). But we'll see if it is on anyone's priority list right now (it's not on mine).

I'm planning on renting a Razzie contender tomorrow or Friday (before compiling my list for this discussion) so I can't tell you my picks just yet.

As for MOVIE 43, you should all watch it to decide if there were actors who stood out enough to earn individual Razzie nods.

To be quite honest, we're not halfway through the year, but I've got DOUBLE the number of contenders now than I had at the end of last year. It's going to be hard to choose from the creme de la crap. Right now, InAppropriate Comedy is my #1, After Earth #2 (I'd LOVE to see Will Smith and L. Ron Hubbard nominated for WORST COUPLE) there are too many for that #3 slot for me to make up my mind right now!

No need to do that, because it's a direct remake.
