I was doing some research on the Internet, and saw that Sharon Stone has two more movies about to come out, already had one, ALPHA DOG, come out following the release of this movie, but before the 2006 nominees were announced. She also has one in post-production and another in pre-production.

At least there's not going to be another Basically, It Stinks sequel for sure.

Yet another of numerous insane decisions that caused Carolco to collapse by the mid 90s. I guess they can take solace in knowing that their logo (or at least the last one, with the blue laser tracing the C, which was the best one anyway) remains on all prints of the few films they did get into release...

Looking at the 100 Worst-Reviewed Films of All Time on Rotten Tomatoes, I saw that B-S-2 is #69 on the list...

I read on Internet Movie Database that she got $13,600,000 for B-I-2

Response from Head RAZZberry: Actually, B-S-2 arose from a long-standing lawsuit that Sharon Stone filed against the original film's producers, with whom she had signed a "pay or play contract" in 1993. When a decade went by and B-S-2 still hadn't been made, Stone took them to court -- and won a $14 million settlement. Rather than flush that kind of money down the toilet, Carolco decided to produce the film, with an estimated budget of about $70 million...and in the process, lost more than 3 times what they've have had to forfeit if they'd just paid off Stone and walked away...

Dude, check this out. I've been looking through about this movie and it shows some explanations of why it has been delayed for a long time. The film was delayed several times in pre-production in 2000 and 2001. Some of the largest problems were finding the right director and the right male lead. Eventually the production was dropped and the movie canceled. In June 2001, Sharon Stone filed a lawsuit against the movie's producers, Andrew G. Vajna and Mario Kassar, for being responsible for the delays and therefore making her unable to take other jobs. She filed for nearly $100 million in damages. Three years later, during her promotional tour for Catwoman (2004), she stated that she had dropped the charges and that Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction was back on track. Both Stone and the same producers were still making the film together. Stone ended up being nominated for Worst Supporting Actress for Catwoman (2004) before "winning" Worst Actress for this movie.

I think we all remember what else happened in 2003. Well, besides The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King winning all 11 Oscar nominations, a new Oscar record for winning the highest amount of Oscar nomination, all of them, and tying the Oscar record for most wins for a motion picture, along with 2 other films, but also, I remember Sly won his 10th RAZZIE Award for his supporting role for SPY KIDS 3: GAME OVER. Not to mention those 5 roles fit in that category.
The Mormons were'nt really popular in the beginning, they're now becoming more popular, even in Hollywood.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and The Silence of the Lambs join It Happened One Night on the short list of films that have won all five major Oscars. But, as you said, Gigli is the only movie to achieve the Razzie equivalent of that distinction.

Ah, yes. Point taken. Yeah, that did all happen in one night. And as for Showgirls, was its director, Paul Verhoeven, the first RAZZIE loser to accept that award, or was there another person who accepted their award before he did?

Anyways, as for some of my personal Berry Favorite Bad Movies, I have some of them. Under the Cherry Moon is one of them, only because I'm a fan of Prince, well his music actually. I know Prince won 3 RAZZIES for that film. He has also received 7 other RAZZIE nominations though. I also know Under the Cherry Moon did tie with  Howard the Duck for Worst Picture back in 1986, and that was like the first time that's happened. Then there was another year where two films tied for Worst Picture, and I'm sure you know all about that, as well as those RAZZIE noms Prince has received.

I still remember back in 2003, when one film came one award shy of tying Battlefield and Showgirls for the record: Gigli, which "won" (and I think deserved) 6 Razzie Awards. Battlefield Earth won 7 Razzies, but only had 8 nominations. Showgirls still holds the record for most Razzie nominations, not to mention it's our Head RAZZberry's favorite bad movie: It had 13 nominations, and "won" 7 spray-painted statuettes.

Response from Head RAZZberry: As long as we're talking RAZZIE trivia and GIGLI, it does hold one historic distinction -- GIGLI is still the only film ever to "win" ALL 6 TOP RAZZIES (Worst Picture, Worst Actor, Worst Actress, Worst Screen Couple, Worst Director and Worst Screenplay). Guess you could say it's the RAZZIE equivalent of IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT (the first film ever to win all five top Oscars).

And while we're on the subject of my Berry Favorite Bad Movies, SHOWGIRLS I think personifies what we're all about, but I'd have to also include MOMMIE DEAREST and Pia Zadora's LONELY LADY on any short list of The All-Time Funniest RAZZIE "Dramas."

Oh yeah, I forgot about Catwoman - wow! I have not found a movie to beat Battlefield Earth or Showgirls, though.

Yes, Basic Instinct 2 won four Razzies, tying with Dirty Love from last year. It also ties with Catwoman from 2004 with four Razzies as well.

I believe that B-I-2 ties with last year's Worst Picture winner Dirty Love, with four Razzies.

Well, my prediction actually did come true. Stone is a 9-time Razzie nominee, and this is her 3rd Razzie Award. She previously won 2 Razzies back in 1994, Worst Actress for Intersection and The Specialist, and Worst Screen Couple with Sly in The Specialist (they tied for that award with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles).
