Uwe is opening "Postal" the same day as "Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of Crystal Skull". Of Spielberg, Uwe said this: "Spielberg gets sloppy. We saw that with War of the Worlds (why the f*ck the older brother survivied?) and also in parts of Jaws, E.T., Munich, etc.!" He also, added this opinion on Ben Kingsley: "My performance in Postal as 'Nazi Theme Park Owner' outperforms easily Ben Kingsley's in Schindler's List!" WOW!

Actually, Uwe reminds me more of the Ralph Fiennes character from Schindler's List!

Actually I give him credit about the brother thing in WotW. Only Dakota Fanning and Tom Cruise should've been the only surviving family members.

I don't know what qualifies as "sloppy" from Spielberg from "Jaws", "E.T.", "Munich", etc.! I love Spielberg! So no dissing on him (except for the "WotW" comment.)

Obviously the Kraut doesn't know a good movie when he sees on. Which is why the editing in his own movies are so horrible. The inter-cutting for House of the Dead is atrocious! Where does he get off calling Spielberg sloppy?

Well would he have done any better with those concepts, one must ask?  Since many of them would be just standard films without a strong guiding touch, there are many ways he himself would have made such beloved pictures wrong (I dare not utter how openly).  Perhaps if it's such a problem for him, he could air his grievance by challenging Spielberg to a film-off (yes, it's not really that sane, but to his mind it probably is), and may the best man win.  Of course, by then he'll probably have his sights set on Mel Brooks...

I think we can permit time to pass the definitive judgement here. Forty years from now, I would venture to predict that people will still be watching E.T., Jaws and Schindler's List. Meanwhile Uwe Boll, if he is remembered at all, will stand alongside cinematic baffoons like Ed Wood Jr. and Roger Corman.

It is somewhat interesting that Boll aimed a portion of his attack at Munich and War of the Worlds, two films that Spielberg wasn't all that involved with, apart from financial backing.

Nine times out of ten, in art as in life, there is no truth to be discovered, only an error to be exposed.--H.L. Menken

I respect Spielberg's choices for making movies based on real, heart wrenching events: The holocaust, World War 2, Slavery, Terrorist attacks.

Uwe Boll makes movies based on video games, and not very good games at that.

Uwe just made a video bashing Michael Bay, George Clooney, and Eli Roth. Apparantly, Uwe didn't learn his lesson about bashing more talented people...and yes, I did just say that Michael Bay and Eli Roth were more talented than Uwe!

Fifty bucks says Bay's silly enough to try a response tape, though.

Actually Michael Bay did say something on it: "I find people who rant like that - calling sh*t about both me, and George Clooney - comes from someone screaming because he is not being heard. He is obviously a sad being. When you ask 'Do I care?' Not in the slightest." Eli had a response as well: "GREATEST COMPLIMENT EVER. That is just further proof of what a genius Sasha Baron Cohen is. That’s his best character yet!"

"I am the only genius in the whole  business."
  -- Uwe Boll

He must be completely lost in his own narcissistic delusion of himself to say something like that.

You can watch the vidclip by clicking here, but be warned; you'll find a lot of cussing in this clip.

To be fair, he didn't slag George Clooney per se.  He slagged the critics who praise George Clooney's films.  I know, that's splitting a fine hair there, but that's what he actually said.

This all started with a petition asking Uwe Boll to stop making filmsFear.Net interviewed Boll, and mentioned the petition, which at the time had 18,000 signatures.  Boll mentioned, accurately, that 18,000 signatures isn't that much, to which Fear.Net asked how many would be enough.  Boll, amazingly, set the number low at one million signatures.  Since then, the signatures have jumped to around 150,000 and climbing every day that this petition gets mentioned.

Boll, in the vidclip I linked above and right here, asked someone to put together a pro-Boll petition, and have a million signatures on that to counter the anti-Boll petition.  It was in that same vidclip that Boll slagged Michael Bay and Eli Roth.  Mind you, we slag Michael Bay and Eli Roth, too, but that's what the Razzies do.  In Boll's case, it's not so much Boll's pot calling the Bay and Roth kettles black, but it's more Boll's pasty black hair-and-grease drain clog that's wrapped around the plumber's snake calling the Bay and Roth kettles black. . . .

You can read Roth's response in his blog by clicking here.  I wish Bay posted his response on his website, but he didn't.

For the record, I'm not putting my name on the petition.  Yes, I know that sounds crazy, but I can't help thinking about Ed Wood, Jr., pretty much hounding himself out of proper financing and film making to the point where he wasn't even allowed to direct his own bad loopy porno flicks at the end of his life.  I feel there's a proper place in the world where a delusional fool should be deemed the world's worst living director, and then garner his own following to support his laughably, mind-numbingly bad movies as long as his fans show up at the box office.  No one ever thought about that with Wood until he was already long dead, and the Boll fans (and I'm sure they're out there as crazy as this world is) aren't showing up for his schlock like they need to.

I'm also not signing the petition because it's useless.  Boll can always claim fraud.  There's no way to verify the signatures.

But, of course, I left all of you the link to that petition

Somebody saw all those movies?  Poor soul...

I would have picked Bloodrayne as being "better" than Alone in the Dark -- but that's like picking one stinky horseapple over another!

I have seen most of his movies. Saying one is better than another is like saying being  kicked in the nuts is slightly less painful than having labor pains. If he keeps shooting his mouth off like he does, he's going to find himself kicked out of DVD Hell, and will have no outlet for his crap any more. If there's one thing Hollywood hates most, it's insiders who don't kiss their "talent's" butts. But if he is left with no outlets for his movies, that means his career is over, so he can be up for a Worst Career Achivement award after all!
