Perhaps she got replaced by an alien or something? An alien that has a progressively squintier face.

I have a friend who owns all the seasons on DVD, we watched them all one
night; when I saw that part I just about peed my pants laughing.

lowest form of entertainment...

I wouldn't go there; the last time a movie tried to break all convention, the
result was Gigli, but yeah, I think it's about time Hollywood stops
playing the safe cards when it comes to this kind of entertainment.

Gigli looked pretty generic to me. Only with less charisma than usual.

Gigli is a film I thankfully never saw... From all I've heard it was one of the worst crimes against film ever committed... and that's saying a lot. Although, it appears to have finally fallen out of the IMDB Bottom 100 list finally...

Believe me, Gigli is anything but generic. Sometimes that's a good
thing, but in this case it isn't. It's been over a year since I saw it for the first
time on the WB, and I'm still pondering how anyone in their right mind
thought it was a good idea to make a romantic comedy about two people
who are mob enforcers. That just does not make any sense. If I were to
say anything positive about the movie, it's not likely to make a sequel
anytime soon.

Actually, the last movie to break all convention was "Memento", and it was a freakin' masterpiece that foreshadowed the genius that is Chris Nolan.

Actually I was referring more to romantic comedies; Memento and other
movies of its genre don't give into convention nearly as badly as romantic
comedies. I know that chick flicks nowadays are really intended to be light
and frivolous forms of entertainment, but would it kill Hollywood to try and
reinvent itself every once in a while without creating a debacle like
Gigli?

What about Duplicity? Rom-Com about corporate spies? That's a pretty bad idea, that apparently wasn't that bad in terms of chick flicks.

I saw New in Town some weeks ago, and I was wondering: Was it just me, or this film feel like a succession of scenes ripped off from Baby Boom, Forrest Gump, Adaptation, and several other movies.

Unbelievable. Really. Thank God for the always reliable J.K. Simmons, but not even he could save this movie!

My Picks... so far:
Worst Picture BUCKY LARSON
Worst Actor Shia LaBeouf
Worst Actress Martin Lawrence
Worst Sup Actor John Turturro
Worst Sup Actress Vanessa Hudgens
Worst Director Michael Bay

I'm amazed you could pull so many examples out of it. Kudos for that much.

I just watched Duplicity, and I wouldn't label it as a rom-com; it's
more of a complicated caper film where plot comes first before anything,
not at all what I was expecting.

Nevertheless, the reason I think why a movie like Duplicity works
and Gigli doesn't is that it's set up and developed believably (by
movie standards anyway). I can actually buy that Clive Owen and Julia
Roberts are corporate spies and that they fall for each other unwillingly.
Gigli however, is such an unbelievably inept train wreck from start to
finish that I don't even know where to begin in listing off this movie's
problems.

Let's start with the premise: a mob enforcer is assigned to kidnap the
retarded brother of some prosecutor who is planning to put a mob boss
to prison. Since Gigli's boss doesn't trust him to do this alone, he assigns
an assassin to monitor his activity. Gigli figures since he has a hot girl in
his apartment, he will seduce her into sleeping with him. It is then when
she reveals that she is a lesbian. Over the course of the movie, he
gradually falls in love with her and finally confesses his love to her which
is proceeded by her sleeping with him.

Now if you aren't thinking "Why the hell would anybody try to make a
movie out of this mess?" then I guess there's no talking to you. Now if
you are appalled that something like this made it to the theaters, then
you've only witnessed a preview of how outrageously inept this movie is.
Already this rant is rather long and if I don't do something else, I'll get
carpel tunnel. So unless you are doing it on behalf of the Razzies, do not
under any conditions, spend your hard-earned cash to watch Gigli.

To this day, I still can't fully understand how the plot to "Gigli" was suppose to make sense, because frankly, it didn't, at all.

Apparently, Renee Zellwegger's role in this movie is among a few dozen really bad shots from 2009, but I don't think this was bad enough to warrant a RAZZIE. New In Town isn't bad enough for this year's RAZZIES.

It's all but forgotten, it probably won't even make the final five of anything.

After 15 minutes, you'll know how it will end.I didn't care,'cuz the first 30 minutes were hilarious. Then it was mostly forced laughs. Then,it tried to get all dramatic.

What's with the ending?

Siohbah Fallon-Hogan steals the show.I guess that's what she needed:A bigger role with a totally different character.
