Whatever Happened To Worst Original Song?

BooBerry: A minimum of three contenders is needed to fill any category, and in the years since "Not Yet an Actress," there have been few if any songs from movies that were both Bad Enough AND Well Known Enough to justify continuing to present Worst "Original" Song.  Other than the wonderfully awful end title song from THUNDERBIRDS (which we showed for those who attended that year's Pre-Vue Nite Member Event) I can't think of even ONE song from the last few years worth bothering to RAZZ.  Actually, The Oscars® have the same problem (albeit in REVERSE!) but they have yet to admit it!

If you have suggestions or input on the subject of Worst "Original" Song for 2005, please feel free to REPLY...

But for now here's a couple that come to mind:

"Get XXX'd" / xXx: STATE OF THE UNION

"Inside Your Mind" / SON OF THE MASK

"First" / HERBIE: FULLY LOADED

(I may be a wrong on these being "Original", if so I'm not done anyway and I'll think of more.)

Oh my God, can't believe you guys forgot Jessica Simpson's "These Boots Aren't Made for Walkin"!

The Lindsay Lohan song from Herbie Fully Loaded is lame, too.

In response to "chan_beat" from above: Besides Razilla's point that Jessica Simpson's "Boots" was a re-do of a 1966 Nancy Sinatra song (and thus doesn't qualify as "original") there's also the fact that, if we nominated it, we might have to make our members sit through that awful video again -- and even WE aren't that cruel!!

By the way, the song's title is "These Boots ARE Made for Walkin'..."

that's right completely forgot that Simpson's song is a cover. I was so upset when she won Best soundtrack at people's choice. what are people thinking, they are so seduced by the clip.

I think, you should just drop "original", and give Simpson another chance to win an award.
