You need to include "ALL OF THE ABOVE!" as a voting option (Okay, just 1-4...but I think I've made my point!)

Why waste time at a theater where everyone is talking, cellphones ring
incessantly, people smoke and there is always an idiot in a hat that blocks
your view of the screen?

The irony is that theatres have been upgrading to the latest in digital technology for picture and sound...for all that they are doing, sounds to me like we need an upgrade in Hollywood as well!!  Note to theatre chains...new tech won't improve crap films!

I posted this in another forum:

You have the same distractions at home: the phone, the annoying Jehovas Witness knocking on the door, screaming kids, the drive by shooting down the street. If I had a 30 foot screen in my living room I'd never go to the theater. Untill then I'll just have to drag myself to the movies.

I have seen two movies at the theatre so far in 2005, both this weekend.  THE CAVE and 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN: one was terribly funny, the other was funny because it was terrible.  The ONLY reason I went to the theatre is because of a scorching LA heat wave, as movie theatre temps are usually set to "meat locker."  In response to the poll, the fifth option should encompass all of the first four -- I hate crappy movies, loud movie-goers, and paying prison prices for tickets and drinks.

Would anyone here be surprised if I said Fox Studios were making a third installment of the DAREDEVIL/ELEKTRA movies by re-uniting the 2 characters?  I think my soul just puked a little!

There's no way they should make a third DAREDEVIL/ELEKTRA movie. The first film's only saving grace was Colin Farrell as Bullseye. ELEKTRA was horrible beyond recognition. I'd rather see Joel........ I can't bring myself to say his name, but you-know-who direct a BATGIRL spin-off than another ELEKTRA. Alicia Silverstone is making a comeback after all!

I have yet to see one movie theater serve Pepsi products in their fountain drinks. That's a minor reason I don't go as often...and when I do go, I WILL sneak a Pepsi product in!
Comparing Uwe Boll's movies to a sack of horse manure will only get you sued by every fertilizer company in existence...

It's the costs that keep me away.  It's just too much for a ticket and something to eat.
