Most inexcusably, NO Martin Short  (Jiminy Glick in La La Wood)??? You don't have those AWFUL "Lead(footed)" acting performances , yet you include SUPPORTING perfs Jamie Foxx and The Rock ...way to be on the mark, again  (NOT!)...

Hmmmm...I thought the whole premise of this forum WAS to "complain", no? So, to answer your question...NAAAAAH!   (Like I'M nuts to think Ashton Kutcher and Ten Nickels are worse actors than Johnny Depp and Jim Carrey!)

"Ten Dimes"? That's a dollar if I'm not mistaken. Not 50 Cents.

I stand corrected (and now my earlier post reflects that)...

15 names! Dang!! 2005 was a terrible year for movies. And with Rob Schneider on the list, it shows we've gone beyond scraping the bottom of the barrell. We've broken through.

His opinion makes sense to me. Jamie Foxx and The Rock did not seem to have lead roles in those films, but maybe I dozed off and missed some of their screen time.

As for other possibilities, I think that Cedric the Entertainer should get a nomination just for agreeing to star in an African-American version of "The Honeymooners."

What is it with the folks associated with The Stinkers (see postings above from "StinkersRule"). They always act as though they're the only ones whose opinions about bad movies are valid, and they rarely seem to be gracious, amusing or anything but snippy about being the "real" bad movie awards. I personally think Hollywood makes enough bad movies for there to be half a dozen different Worst in Film Awards without anyone needing to get their girdles in a knot, be snotty or get all proprietary. To quote Rodney King, "Can't we all just get along?"

...rant over.

Just a thought: If, as Forum  Member "StinkersRule" suggests by his chosen Forum ID, the Stinkers actually DO rule...how come almost no one (except Forum Member "Nasty Man") seems to have even heard of the Stinkers, and just about everybody knows about the Razzies?

Everyone has their opinion on who should be one the list, But what can we do. It's just too bad I could only pick one from it. Maybe this year, everyone on the list could win at least one. Except Tom Cruise...He should win two.

In response to both "StinkersRule" and "NoOneFamous" on the previous page, regarding Jamie Foxx and The Rock being listed for Worst Actor rather than Worst Supporting: The main thing we are satirizing with The RAZZIES is The Oscars, so we follow their lead whenever appropriate. The Academy seems always to base nominations on the performer's billing, rather than his/her actual screen time, and both Foxx and Rock had "above-the-title" billing in their respective films. Oscar Precedent: No one can make a convincing case that Anthony Hopkins in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS actually had a leading role (his total screen time was barely 20 minutes) but he was co-billed with Jodie Foster in the film's ads, and so won a Best Actor statuette. Unfair though it may be, the same concept applies here...

Fair enough. It's unfortunate that an agent's ability to garner their client inflated billing dictates what category they are placed in. Short of bringing a stop watch with you to the movies and creating some sort of minimum screen time requirement for "lead" performers, I suppose it's all subjective.

But if above-the-title billing is your litmus test for distinguishing between lead and supporting categories, then you might want to reconsider Jessica and Ashlee Simpson and Son of the Mask's Alan Cumming. All three have above-the-title billing in their respective films, and I think Cumming may have had almost as much screen time as Jamie Foxx. So using your argument, that could make them lead performers.

Regardless, my money is on Rob Schneider to take the booby prize this year. Go Rob Go!!!!

As someone who was unfortunate enough to see Elizabethtown and the first 10 minutes of Kingdom of Heaven, I cannot support a 'Worst Actor' poll that doesn't include...

Orlando Bloom

!
