Welcome,Longbourne

I haven't seen Jonah Hex, but I trust HeadRAZZ knows how to decide that.

Megan fox deserves a break, she wasn’t really leading Jonah Hex.

I've always assumed that it's because each year not more than 5 musicals are made, and the number of good comedies is pretty low too.

BTW- anyone know why "Musical' is lumped with "Comedy"? Lots of musical are more dramatic than comedic. Is it because musicals are "light" with the song-and-dance routines?

Knight and Day and Eat Pray Love among the 10 Worst Films of the Year? The Tourist the Worst Film of the Year? Really?

Did Travers even see Furry Vengeance? Skyline? The Spy Next Door? Vampires Suck???

I guess not even Travers is willing to torment himself like that, having to sit through the movies you listed. My guess: he expected Cruise, Diaz, Roberts, Depp, and Jolie to make better choices in their roles than what they did with those movies.

That could be a reason, Vits. And you know it must be a bad year for comedies when a title that's not intentionally funny (The Tourist) gets nominated in the category. Tongue Burlesque also may fit that bill, aside from fitting the "musical" requirement.

Barbara Hershey must be added to this list.  I realize that she would be considered a "supporting actress" for her work in Black Swan, but acting this terrible deserves recognition.  Wow.  She is terrible!

First off, this will never happen, You may disagree but Hershey has been named as a serious oscar-contendor and Black Swan is a critics favorite that will probably be nominated for a lot of oscars (and will maybe win some to). So it is miles away from the Razzies...

...and before I forget, Welcome Blackswansucks.

Yes, welcome Blackswansucks. Although, if the past has taught us anything, it is that you'll probably be the only one trying to convince people to vote for BLACK SWAN for "Worst Picture". I haven't seen it because it will not be released here until next year, but most people say it's good, so in case that's what you wanna do, I'll lave you time. As for Hershey, the only award she's been nominated for is the SAG for "Best Ensemble".

I wish people would stick with the actresses listed in the poll. If they are listed here, that's a sure sign they are under serious consideration. If there's someone you think is being left out, that's what write-in votes are for. But please don't tell us to vote for someone who only you THINK is worthy when she's not even close to being as bad as the actresses listed here. I'm sure Hershey's acting isn't what it used to be, but it's gotta be down right Masterpiece Theater quality compared to Megan Fox!

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: If you re-read my initial post setting up this poll, I did encourage people to make additional suggestions, even though 5 of the 14 actresses listed are likely to make up the list of final nominees. Also, I am fairly certain if Barbara Hershey in BLACK SWAN were to be considered, it would be in Worst Supporting Actress, as I believe trade ads for her performance for "All Those Other Awards" list her as a Supporting contender...

Not sure anyone should expect Diaz to make better choices. LOL I think her "performance" in Knight and Day should be considered, btw, and the movie should win in a newly added category - lamest movie title.

Fine, "Knight And Day" was underwhelming so, that I can understand. But "Black Swan"? I understand HeadRazz asked for write-ins, but ones made as "Oscar bait" that were actually pretty good aren't going to get very far with Razzie voters.

Actually, I think (could be wrong)that "Oscar baiter" means a movie that tried but don't succeed in getting Oscar attention, while BLACK SWAN probably is going to be nominated for the "Best Picture" Oscar.

"Oscar baiters" are movies that were made to get Oscars. Some do get nominated (like "Black Swan" likely will) but others fail horribly at their goal (like "For Black Girls" likely will).

Yeah  i thought Peter Travers' list was incredibly weak, which is a shame considering i like him. i can understand him maybe not wanting to take the easy way out, but at the same time, he left off some of the "worst of the worst" and put a few on there that were really only mediocre...

Alot of those movies belong on that list, but come on! "The Tourist" is #1, while "Fart Bender" is #8 or 9?! Again, I think he was just in the mood to bash big-named, former Oscar calibur talent for making bad choices.
