WITH TWO SUCKY SOUNDING MOVIES OPENING AT ONCE...WE COULDN'T LIMIT OUR CHOICE to JUST ONE. SO, WE HAVE OUR FIRST EVER TIE for WORST of the WEEK!

FAILURE TO LAUNCH

Is it just us, or does the title of this supposed "romantic comedy" sound like a tag line for Viagra?? Focused on a thirty-ish son who still lives with his parents, and the "dream girl" the parents hire to pose as his fiancé, FAILURE predicts its likely box office fate right in its title. Here's a LINK to check out postings for FAILURE TO LAUNCH...

TIED WITH....

THE SHAGGY DOG

Tim Allen stars in this dog-eared remake of the old 60s kid flick about a man who finds himself going canine at the most inopportune times. If it's as bad as the advertising for it looks, there is no opportune time to unleash this bowser!

Sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with your tie! After seeing the previews for Shaggy Dog, I think it deserves to be the worst pick of the week (or year, for that matter!!), far worse than Failure to Launch. Yes, that movie also looks awful. But, the actors in that movie are still quite appealing and it's possible that despite being a truly terrible movie, the 2 leads in the film might have some chemistry. This would make for a more bearable movie than the Shaggy Dog!! When has Tim Allen ever made a movie that wasn't completely, ridiculously, stupid?!

Only if you count voice overs, ala Toy Story and Toy Story II.

First of all the Shaggy Dogg is aimed towards children and people with children.  What do you want your children watching?  Lighten up!

The Shaggy Dog is a truly evil film. I haven't seen Failure to Launch yet.

Why didn't Christmas with the Kranks sweep the Razzies? It was the second worst film of the decade so far.

It shouldn't happen to a dog.
