A KIND of SMUDGY CARBON COPY of 2010's RAZZIE® "WINNING" VALENTINE'S DAY, NEW YEAR'S EVE BOASTS an "ALL STAR CAST" of NO LESS THAN 18 "NAMES" -- ANY or EACH of WHOM COULD HAVE PROVEN to BE IRRESISTABLE as RAZZIE® BAIT.

FOREMOST AMONG the LIKELY TARGETS IS LAST YEAR'S WORST ACTOR "WINNER" (PARTIALLY for VALENTINE'S DAY) ASHTON KUTCHER. WE'VE ALSO GOT FORMER WORST ACTRESS RAZZIE® "WINNERS" HALLE BERRY and SARAH JESSICA PARKER, AS WELL AS PRIOR RAZZIE® NOMINEES JESSICA BIEL and ROBERT deNIRO, and PREVIOUS RAZZIE® "ALMOST NOMINEES" ZAC EFRON and KATHERINE HEIGL PLUS POSSIBLE RAZZIE® "FIRST-TIMERS" JOSH DUHAMEL, JON BON JOVI and GLEE'S LEA MICHELE.

WITH THAT MANY "LEADING ROLES," YOU MIGHT FIGURE the 117-MINUTE EVE WOULD BE A HOPELESS JUMBLE of HALF-DEVELOPED/HALF-ASSED LOVE STORIES...AND APPARENTLY, YOU'D BE RIGHT -- with a LOWLY 6% POSITIVE R.T. RATING, NEW YEAR'S WAS  LAST YEAR's MOST STAR-STUFFED, FAR-from-ROMANTIC "ROMANTIC COMEDY."

ITs MAKERS THOUGHT IT'D PROBABLY MAKE LOTS BUX (VALENTINE'S CERTAINLY DID) BUT, AS FAR TOO MANY 2011 RELEASES HAVE ALREADY PROVEN, BIG BOX OFFICE and ACTUAL QUALITY (LET ALONE "WATCH-ABILITY") NO LONGER GO HAND-in-HAND in MODERN HOLLYWOOD...

WHICH LEAVES US SIGHING -- and NOT in a ROMANTIC WAY!

...HERE's the LINK to EXPRESS YER THOUGHTS (ROMANTIC, PEDANTIC and OTHERWISE) in OUR FORUM DISCUSSION of THIS FILM...

LEA MICHELLE: "So do you think our singing will fill
the audience with GLEE..."

BON JOVI: "...or with an urge to flee?!?!?"
