I'm not sure about that: "Zyzzyx Road" (dumbest title ever, by the way) was made for $20 million and made only $30 back. Not $30 million, just $30. That's just pitiful, much like the movie's title.

NUTCRACKER 3-D is increasing its number of theaters this week, and will go onto 115 screens, according to Box Office Mojo.

I'm sure there are movies that grossed less than $30, but those must be from before B.O. MoJo had archives...

Anyway,is there a movie that grossed less money? (Not counting the ones from the AfterDarkFest of course)

But of course. Isn't there a rule: G and PG rated movies can be b.o. flops or critical failures, but not both??

...Or because they never saw the light of day after being made.

You mean they weren't released? Then they weren't technically "flops." I think there's another name for that...

Speaking of The Nutcracker in 3D, I found a parody video of Robert Zemeckis's NEW Nutcracker movie in 3D coming in 2012 by one of my favorite YouTube user, ForbiddenDouchebag.

Pictures move, do they?

What is this? Is "Nutcracker" becoming the new "Christmas Carol", the one holiday movie that has been remade to the point that it's a cliche? And what is with Zemeckis and his obsession with 3-D? Is he having some kind of secret contest with James Cameron?

Not yet.It will be once Hollywood makes movies with an original premise but with the same story structure.

3D works better with sci-fi,Zemeckis and Cameron's specialties.

This is true.

Yeah, but if you make use that same "specialty" one time too many, you risk becoming a one trick pony.

Oh my God, this was bad! There's a massive continuity error that I'm surprised no one's mentioned: there'a scene were the Rat King electrocutes a shark (Yes, there's a shark in it) and it's floating upside down. One scene later, the shark's rightside up. A thanks to Vheid, to sending me a link.

Um, why is there a shark in The Nutcracker?

My guess is that the director had bad acid. That would explain the spontaneous combustion scene as well.

I should have said that better. There's no actual scene where someone burst into flames, but, when the NutCracker turns from an actual nutcracker into a sh*tty CGI nutcracker, he destroys a pillow. When Frau asks about it, the little girl says that it spontaneosly combusted and she buys it. That scene was just one big WTF.

This movie sounds like it would make Uwe Boll proud!
