Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band would have been #12 on my list with Roller Boogie a close 13th...

Its almost amazing how many awful movies the incredibly short-lived roller disco fad of the late 70's spawned. Even more amazing was the fact that the fad was dead and buried months before any of them made it to the silver screen.

The 70s were known for their bad movies...and even worse when it came to music...

I still think the best of the best of 70's music has GOT to be Chuck Berry's My Ding-A-Ling...

Razzilla-

Are there any Christmas movies made in the past 20 years not on that list?

Elf was a good Christmas movie.

Note how Bad Santa didn't make the list...

Elf was one of those movies that I felt they could have done better and that was the only reason it went so high on the list... I also thought the movie was too predictable...and that was the main thing I would have loved to change...

"Batman & Robin" is the worst movie of that time period, the runner-ups are "Reefer Madness", "The Trial Of Billy Jack", "Boxing Helena", "Mommie Dearest", "Double Team", "Highlander II", "8MM", "Leonard Part Six", and "Howard The Duck".

Head Razz--here is a list of my 10 worst movies of all time

in Reverse Order

10--Battlefield Earth because John Travolta proved that he had less talent
than Ed Wood. This HAD to be Plan 10 from Outer Space (Y’all remember
Plan 9, right?). The dialogue is so bad that I thought the screenplay was
written by Stuttering John (from the Howard Stern Show). I was hoping for
a Special Guest Appearance by Dr Smith and the Robot. This movie was so
bad it makes Irwin Allen’s 60’s TV crap look like Citizen Kane. Did you
note the parallels in the story with Scientology? After all, Terl (like Xemu)
is imprisoned in a fortress of gold. Well, at least they didn’t make him
Number 6 and stick him in the Village (Patrick McGoohan must have a
GREAT lawyer!)

9--CHATTERBOX--A lab accident gives a C-Movie starlet a talking vagina.
Ask yourself—would you really want to see a movie with Rip Taylor as a
gay hairdresser named Mr. Jo? At the end of a movie she wants to jump off
a cliff—I was so disappointed she didn’t.

8--ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES--Everything you have heard about
this rancid fruit of a movie is true. So bad that tomatoes threw people at
the screen. The part of the movie having a Republican Ad man create a
feel-good campaign about people getting killed just strikes too close to
home! By the way, Steve “Rock” Peace (the idiot running around and
tripping on his parachute) got elected to the California State Senate in
1994. He is the idiot who wrote our power deregulation bill. Thank GOD
for term limits!

7--COOL AS ICE--I hated Vanilla Ice in 1991 and I still hate him today.
Remember when Andy Warhol said everyone would get 15 minutes of
fame. This movie was shot during the sixteenth minute of Mr. White
Trash’s ocular-offending orgy. Any idiot who acts like Mr. Blackwell on
steroids ought to have an encounter with Florida’s Old Sparky. I only wish
that his VH1 “Behind the Music that Sounds Like Crap” segment had a
happy ending. It didn’t—he’s still alive. I laughed my ass off when Todd
Bridges beat the sh*t out of him on TV recently. Suge Knight, WHY didn’t
you drop him from that balcony??? I would have fought to get on the jury
to acquit you!

6--THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND
BECAME MIXED UP ZOMBIES--Oh, just the title alone—don’t forget the star
CASH FLAGG who later seemed to regenerate as Nicholas Cage. Now this
was billed as the first Monster Movie Musical? Hey, where are Rankin and
Bass when you need them?

5--DEADLY WEAPONS--Any movie directed by the inept Doris Wisham is a
treat to laugh at. Especially if you have Israeli Stripper Chesty Morgan
trying to get the bad guys drunk and then suffocate them between her
73G cups. This was the first film to feature Harry Reems. He went on to
screen immor(T)ality in Deep Throat, Devil in Miss Jones, etc. Not bad for
someone who graduated cum laude (don’t laugh) from my alma mater,
University of Pittsburgh in Economics. (Damn! that’s the same degree I
have...)

4--SEXTETTE--Super blurry close ups of Mae West in the bedroom with
her newest stud hubby Timothy Dalton... We NOW know the real reason for
the gas crisis of 1979—so much oil had to be converted to petroleum jelly
to cover the lens during Mae’s close-ups. Yes, it IS true that they warble
“Love Will Keep Us Together”. (If you think I’m kidding. Go to
www.incorrectmusic.com, click on the word Audio, then scroll down the
page until you see “Love will Keep Us Together” in MP3, click on it and get
experienced in a way Jimi Hendrix couldn’t describe on his worst acid trip!)
Oh, I was hoping that Mr. Ed would have broken out of his stall and busted
down the door and given Mae something REALLY to sing about. That
fantasy eventually came true as “FREDDY GOT FINGERED”...

3--CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC--Well, you are Max Bialystock, er, Allan Carr,
the BIG producer. YOU have made a mint from “Grease”, so what do you
do next, well, your next project has REAL talent in it—in fact it is The Life
Story of the Village People, a big budget box office bomb that still stinks
25 years later. Directed by Nancy Walker—so inept as a director as she
was an actress in Blansky’s Beauties. And, Allan gave her the best talent to
back her up behind the camera—the same Gang of Idiots that did the
Worst movie of ALL TIME--”Star Trek the MOTIONLESS Picture” You gotta
credit Allan—many wished it, but this picture not only destroyed the
careers of anyone that was involved with it, hey it also killed Disco deader
than Howard the Duck! Where do I begin—shall it be where the
Leatherman auditions for the group by getting down on his knees and
singing “Danny Boy”? Oh, don’t forget the choreographed Colt models
plunging into the pool as the Group sings Y.M.C.A.--I bet this number
alone still makes Andy Sullivan weak at the knees. Speaking of Andy, dare
I talk about the hot creamy MILKSHAKE number???? Look at this film time
and time again and see all the bloopers and editing mistakes that Ed Wood
would have caught. Hey, any movie starring Bruce Jenner and Valerie
Perrine as the “beards” for the group—you just KNOW it’s going to be a
HOWLER!

2--SUPERMAN 4 THE QUEST FOR PEACE--The Canon Films boys Golan and
Globus do what no mere Earthly mortal could ever achieve. They are a
deadlier force against Superman than Kryptonite. This poor pithy pretense
of a photoplay has effects so cheesy that they would have been cut out of
a Glen Larson episode in the 80’s, which leads us to...

1--STAR TREK THE MOTIONLESS PICTURE--this is hands down my choice
for the WORST MOVIE EVER MADE!--inept plot, you find yourself in Warp
Drive to Nowhere! William Shatner’s toupee acts better than the rest of his
body does. You see Nimoy the Zombie on autopilot—you know he’s simply
counting the money. Jimmy Doohan kills his Playtex Living Girdle. You
spend literally hours dragging out what could have been a hokey 60-
minute episode of the original series and for what? A typical Roddenberry
script about a new age machine. Hell, send the machine on a retreat with
the Soka Gakkai and get it chanting. That would have stopped it.

I don't disagree with much of anything on your list, or your comments, but on this one point above, you gave this movie way too much credit. The reality of the matter is that disco had already exhaled its dying breath a good year before this movie hit the screen, which only contributed to Allan Carr and Nancy Walker's ineptitude. They told us a story that not many people EVER cared about, long after ANYONE cared about it anymore. But it's a howl to watch.

Unfortunately, the only way to see it is to put up with the embarrassment of having to actually face down another human being  and rent it at Blockbuster, or wait for it to make one of its somewhat regular appearances on LOGO.

There's a new #1 on the list...

Maniac (It's even worse than what the RAZZIE Guide could muster up...)  I won't watch that again even if I lost a bet...

RESPONSE from Head RAZZberry: I gotta ask -- Which MANIAC??  Please post an IMDb LINK to clarify, as there are multiple movies with that title (including one that was included in OFFICIAL RAZZIE® MOVIE GUIDE...

I'm going to throw in a little known indie movie called "Bong Water", it's a stoner "comedy" featuring a cast of well enough known stars, yet it fails on every aspect of filmmaking possible. One would have to be stoned himself in order to think this movie is funny ... or entertaining ... or good.

As for the worst Hollywood studio backed movies ever ... three words: Star Wars Prequels!

House of the Dead to me is such an embarrassing film-making achievement that it was to be seen to be believed.

Yeah, but House of the Dead exemplifies most, if not all of Uwe Boll's career. It's just a series of train wrecks that you can't take your eyes off of.
